The Cured Plate - Libations & Lounge
A hidden gem tucked right in the heart of downtown Milford. The atmosphere has that classic speakeasy vibe, intimate, relaxed, and full of character. The craft cocktails are top-notch, perfectly mixed and beautifully presented. The food matches the quality of the drinks: fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. Whether you’re stopping in for a night out or just passing through, this place is absolutely worth the trip.
I suggest you make a reservation. It is a smaller venue.

Delaware needs more places like this! I visited solo on a whim on a Wednesday night and I'm so glad I did. I was a little confused at the entrance when confronted with a note to ring a bell for service - a throw back to recreate an old speakeasy experience. I don't feel it really added anything for me, but I appreciate the attention to detail.
The place is very dimly lit - another commitment to the bit - and features menus that light up when you open them (a fun surprise!).
I sat at the bar and started off the night with a Bees Knees cocktail and Bloody Mary Deviled Eggs. The cocktail was as expected, but the eggs might have been the best I've ever had.
Next I had a Mandarin Vanilla Bean Sour - probably my favorite drink of the night - and Stuffed Jalapeño Poppers (also excellent).
For a main course I ordered the Marinated Yellowfin Tuna Steak. It was plated beautifully and portioned just right, and I paired it with a Dogfish Head 60 minute IPA. It's worth noting that the beer menu is nothing to write home about with only 4 common offerings.
Finally, I opted for dessert and went with the Peach Hot Honey Cheese Cake and paired it with a Corjello cocktail, which turned out to be a perfect pairing.
Overall this place is excellent. Great menu, ingredients, presentation, and vibe. I think the focus on charcuterie is an odd fad choice, but I don't hate it, and the menu beyond that is solid. I'll definitely be back! Oh, and shout out to Jackie, who is an excellent bar tender.

This was our first experience here, and experience is exactly how I would describe it. There is just an immediate IT vibe that is difficult to put into words. My wife and I celebrated our anniversary, and came in to a beautiful anniversary card on our reserved seating area. Very friendly staff, delicious drinks, and the food was very good. Beautiful and well though our plating and overall presentation. We are already burning the ears of our friends and family so we can plan a future visit. We will be back!
