Sea Esta Motel 1

The location is not worth it. We had to see three different rooms before we found one that was even a little bit clean. And the room that we finally ended up staying is was incredibly humid. The front desk staff was extremely rude, and acted as if we were being unreasonable that we did not want to sleep on stained sheets. It's tempting to be near the beach, but it is definitely not worth it. Stay away

This motel has a lot to be desired. The potential is definitely there. No doubt but it hasn't been updated in years, the paint doesn't match each other even in the same rooms and with the lack of updating comes the lack of annual fees cleaning. The rugs I can only imagine what's under them. There's mold visible to anyone even in the AC units. The ammenties are low budget. Fridges paint is peeling off, rust in the microwave, and the best is the paint in the bathtubs. What? The housekeeping staff the whole 2 girls they have taking care of the entire place are exceptionally helpful, nice, and accomodating. They actually seem to be embarrased a bit to be there, but there's no way 2 girls can possibly be thorough taking care of 30 rooms. Just not possible. The location is convenient but honestly I'd rather have to walk a bit further than to not be able to take my shoes off in my motel room. The rates are inconsistently different with each guest. I spoke to someone who said they paid almost double of what I did. Really? As much as he paid he could have gotten a suite at another place. If you only have one weeks vacation don't risk it being a disaster by staying here. Something tells me that this place could be WAY different if management was. Besides the housekeepers miserable is what cones to mind with the few other employees they have. Smile. Ita ok.

The bathroom caulking looked like it was done by a child and there was black mold in the shower faucet. There were patches and indents all throughout the walls. The room stank (like an old house) and was cold despite adjusting the temperature. One bed was so hard it couldn't be slept on (I've been more comfortable laying on a rock in the wild). The bathroom fan didn't work and the hot water cut in and out every five minutes. We were told we had a first floor room and wound up carrying things up to the third floor via stairwells. Our reservation specified a dog, but I was told at check out that the third party hadn't charged me for it so I was charged extra at check out. The cleaning lady was Awesome and Friendly, but the front desk lady didn't inspect rooms and instead went by what she could remember of what she was told after complaining she hadn't been told without asking. I literally saw her marking rooms in the computer as "inspected" even though she wasn't sure. Positives: walking distance to the beach and a nice cleaning lady. Negatives: everything else.
