Lori's Cafe

We recently spent a family vacation in Rehoboth for a week and we must have visited this spot almost everyday between different family members. Firstly, the staff, oh my gosh, some of the nicest and most patient people we met. They also would recognize us and thank us for coming back, it was really sweet.

The food is SO TASTY! I had a croissant sandwich one day that was super big and delicious, I also had smoked salmon and a bagel another day which was also just as good! They had a super cute outdoor patio with tables, very dog friendly, I met lots of cute dogs while we waited for our food. We also met Lori who was just as kind as her staff!

They were able to help with food allergy/preferences which was great! If you are in Rehoboth, don't miss Lori's!

On an alley, not visible from the street. Little hole in the wall, basically a split door to order, screen door they'll deliver to your table through.
Robust menu, decent coffee offerings in foamy thermal disposable cups. Sandwiches come out on trays w/ paper w/ potato kettle chips & dill pickle coins (nice pickles). Devilled Eggs are halves in little disposeable cups, basically a shooter. With all the ways we know to devil an egg, solid, simple and tasty, nothing too fancy.
That is the quintessence of a deli: delicate essen (food), for the sensitive digestive system.
The egg salad is good, actually it is great, but a tad bland (just like it pught to be). Diijon mustard and a few pickles make a great adjustment. The corned beef was tasty, meshed well with the rye, lettuce, etc.. our nephew had the Pastrami, which intrigued that foodie guy. FWIW, he thought it was worth revisiting with friends, and working their way through the whole menu.
One of the workers heard us talking about salad... as opposed to egg, tuna, & chicken, or the "Biden" option of half of both... and brought us a strawberry salad with pecans and balsamic, for good measure. Bonus for coming in at a slower time, I guess.
Also, good cookies.

Lori's Oy Vey! Cafe is a great place to grab breakfast or lunch. My husband liked the turkey breast sandwich on a baguette so much, he went back and had it for lunch again the next day. I really enjoyed the Avocado Supreme Salad. All the ingredients were fresh and the salad was delicious. We also got breakfast there, and the bagels were delicious. I especially enjoyed the olive and garlic cream cheese on an everything bagel. During all of our visits, the service was great and Lori and her staff were very friendly. I hope to be able to visit again soon.
