Lewes Oyster House

I recently visited Lewes Oyster House for happy hour, it was such a nice time!
- Foods: We ordered two glasses of white wine, which was just what we needed to kick things off. The oysters we got? Amazing. I can't remember what kind they were, but they were cleaned to perfection—no sand, no cracked shells—just sweet, lightly briny goodness.

They were out of ceviche, which was a bit of a bummer, but the bartender suggested the tuna appetizer instead, I'm glad we listened! It came with sliced strawberries (so sweet!) and these crispy lotus crackers. The textures and flavors together? Just perfect. Every bite had a little bit of everything, and it just worked.

We also tried the caviar fries. They were okay.

- Service: The place was pretty busy, but I could tell the staff was really trying to keep up and make sure we had a good experience. The host was super nice and even found us seats at the bar for happy hour, which I really appreciated.

Overall, Lewes Oyster House gave us a solid happy hour experience.

Exceptional food, wine, drinks, ambiance, vibe, and staff! Lewes Oyster House is one of my favorite restaurants, in Lewes or anywhere. I am a longtime vegan, my partner is not, and we both love this place.

If you are vegan, you must eat here. Chef Sean is a genius food artist. Truly a master. He will create a vegan meal for you with the highest quality ingredients and most nuanced deeply satisfying flavors in ways you haven't yet experienced. I strongly recommend ordering Chef's vegan creations (he will accommodate your taste preferences). Just exceptional every time.

Masterful Wine Steward Diego will choose the most perfect wine pairing. The bartender's cocktail creations are so unique and satisfying. Every staff member, Tamara, Tara, John, and everyone, are always lovely and delightful. Home run experience every time we've been there, which has been a lot, for lunch, dinner, or just drinks and appetizers.

Experience one of the best restaurants anywhere for yourself. We certainly can't wait to go back!

We were blown away by every item we ordered. Food and service were excellent. Highly recommend this place if you’re in Lewes and looking for a solid experience.

The Observatory seafood tower was perfect to share with our table of 4. 12 oysters, 4 clams, 4 shrimp cocktail, daily ceviche, 4 crab cocktail claws, a great assortment and everything was on point.

The whipped ricotta toast app was a real standout for me and the corn bread ice cream was a surprise savory hit.
