Davellis Bagel Cafe

I read in Metropolitan Magazine that this place had the best bagels in Seaford, and since I’m working at the hospital nearby, I had to give them a try.

I had read some reviews mentioning slow service, so I decided to put that to the test. From the time I placed my order until I had my everything bagel with cream cheese in hand was exactly 3 minutes and 22 seconds.

While I waited, the cashier was finishing up a phone order. It was obvious they have some loyal customers—someone had just ordered nine bacon, egg, and cheese bagels!

The shop was clean, had some really cool and comfortable seating areas, and everything was on one level with no stairs, making it easy to access.

As for the bagel—it definitely lived up to the hype. It was fresh, delicious, and had just the right amount of cream cheese. Overall, I was very satisfied with my experience and would definitely recommend stopping by if you’re in the area.

We walked into a clean, cute, Coffee shop like soup and sandwich restaurant. Ordering at the cash Register/counter was easy and the staff were friendly. I had a hard time seeing the descriptions of the food on the chalkboard, asked for something with bigger lettering and they had a laminated menu/list that they graciously handed me. I had the loaded baked potato soup and thoroughly enjoyed it, though it was very hot. It took quite a while for it to cool down and I wasn’t able to eat it as fast as I would have liked. It was served with a piece of rosemary bread that was also good. My company had a basic BLT, which I thought was a little expensive at $9 but they were happy with it. BLTs are a bit of a gamble since everybody likes their bacon cooked differently. Vegs were good, bread was great. Served with pickle 😉. If you’re looking to try someplace new, to get someone a gift card for a holiday or even just something random, this is a good place. The atmosphere was quaint enough that my company who normally likes to eat in the car lol, wanted to eat in house. They have different options for seating., Table and Chairs, soft chairs, chairs at a bar/counter. Nice well rounded place.

The bagels here are decent and have a nice texture, which is always a good start to the morning. It is a pretty casual spot that works fine if you are in a rush and just need a quick bite. My order took a little longer than I expected, but it was still warm when it got to me. It is a solid choice if you are nearby and hungry, but it didn't completely blow me away.
