Baja Bob's

Located right on the boardwalk below Above the Dunes. The restaurant was clean, the atmosphere was nice and the wait staff was pleasant and attentive. The portions sizes were good and the meat tender and juicy.

Everything we tried was absolutely delicious! We ordered Steak and Chicken Mini Chimis, chips and salsa,.Pulled Chicken Baja Bowl, Carnitas Boardwalk tacos, El Pastor street tacos and fried ice cream. Highly recommend.

The outside of this restaurant is so cute, and the food is delicious!! Don't let this fool you however, because the service is enough to make me not come back. First off, we were sat by the window which is fine but there was flies and fly eggs everywhere. (See photo attached). The flies were all over us and our food. When we got our food i immediately noticed a long black hair in it, i got nachos. (Mind you im blonde so it was 100% not mine). At this point i was a little annoyed because of the hair, but the flies kept on landing on my food which is disgusting and I felt like I couldn't eat as there was 10+ flies. I was waiting for our server to come back to our table however she didn't, so after waiting a few minutes I went to the hostess and asked her if it was possible if we moved seats because of the flies. She mumbled something about asking the server and walked away, so I sat back down. I watched the hostess go ask the server if we could move and when the server came back to our table (finally) she said "do you guys want your check?". We had only been there maybe 15 minutes and our food was barely touched due to swatting away the flies. So that immediately rubbed me the wrong way. I told her about the hair in my food and she asked if I wanted it re made in a rude tone. Then when I asked about moving tables she mumbled something ( I don't even know what she said it was so low) and walked over to a two person table and tapped it and looked at us, then walked away from it not saying anything. We assumed we would move over there because that seemed to be what was implied through the attitude. While we waited for our food there was a male walking around who was very kind and gave wonderful service! I don't know his name but he had asked me about my nachos. When they came out it was not even our server who delivered the new nachos to me. We drank all of our drinks and our server did not stop by our table one time to ask for a refill, and when she finally did stop by she just said "are those fine?" With the same attitude she had before, and when I said yes she just walked away. The next time we saw her was her asking if we are ready for our check for the second time. I believe the servers name was Ally or something like that, there was no time to remember with how rude she was.

Last minute late lunch with 4 toddlers, 4 adults and a teenager. The food was very good, service was prompt, friendly, and attentive. We were not expecting much and were pleasantly surprised by how his everything was. The salads were fresh and the shrimp on top was perfectly cooked and generous. We had two orders of Chimi bites which were just right for the toddlers and quite delicious as leftovers, a generous portion of fresh guacamole served in lovely stone vessel, and an order of wings. Everyone left happy at a very reasonable price and we'll definitely make it a go-to with the kids when we're in town. Shout out to our lovely waiter!
