Ava's Pizzeria & Wine Bar - Rehoboth Beach

Went as a party of four on a Thursday night. Highly recommend getting a reservation as this place gets booked and busy! We were sat with our reservation and received amazingly kind service. We ordered the Penne alla vodka, Shrimp pesto pasta, and the Buffalo chicken salad. All the food was well portioned for the price and came in a reasonable amount of time The salad was fresh and the chicken was cooked well, and the pesto and penne pastas were well sauced! A great pick in Rehoboth for Italian.

From the moment I first walked up to consider booking a reservation at this restaurant I Met and enjoyed a moment talking with the warmly welcoming and incredibly enthusiastic Mark, his Friendliness and no pressure welcome made me want to take a menu to the nearby bench and Review it with My Family, including my elderly mother who wasn’t sure about walking in and standing there in the entrance trying to read a menu, Mark was excellent

We Booked an early reservation and Came back around 5:00 PM Perfect timing because it filled up Fast after that, It went from almost empty to almost full in an hour
The food was good, The Homemade Chips and Deep Dish Pizza were spectacular, But Nothing could compare to the hospitality by our server Jessie, I don’t have words for how exceptional He was, Or is, or how I hope the ownership of this restaurant knows and applauds that after reading this message, He is probably by far the single most thoughtful, articulate, and kindest “puts himself in the shoes of everyone He serves kind of server” You almost never get to experience this top 1% of service combined with an experience you won’t soon forget and when you do, The one who works tirelessly, selflessly, and Often thanklessly in one of the most Demanding businesses, Such as a restaurant, deserves every ounce of appreciation and applause you can return to them in Gratitude for what they provide in the most Grateful of ways, Jessie is really, really special and gave us the most warm, thoughtful, picture perfect Service experience we’ve ever had in over twenty years of coming to Rehoboth Almost every other month, I really Hope The Owners of this restaurant Print off a copy of this or Share how very special Both Mine, Our Family’s, and the Ownerships Appreciation is for such an Outstanding server who’s tirelessly dedicated to what may go down in My mind as the best service I have ever seen!!!! But I have no doubt in my mind that if you book at Ava’s and ask to sit in Jessie’s section, You’ll have the Best Experience you’ve ever had visiting Rehoboth weather you’re a local or traveler, and Be ready to Want to throw money at a server, because there’s really no “tip” worth what He does, It’s immeasurably special, and not often found, it can’t be Taught, It’s either in Your Heart or not, and Jessie’s got a lot of Heart, I Hope you’ll ask for him, and Also that someone Sees this and Shares it with him for A Job well done

Ava’s is a true gem in Rehoboth. Great food, drinks, atmosphere and friendly service make this spot a must when in town and looking for something more than your typical beach or boardwalk fare.
⭐️ of the show is their Detroit style pizzas! The dough is so soft and airy on the inside, and the crust has the perfect char and crisp. The sauce has a great balance of sweetness and acidity.
Meatballs are another must here! They’re firm to the fork, but they melt in your mouth. *Pro tip* - Dip the crust from your Detroit pie in the sauce of the meatballs, doesn’t get any better than that!
The bolognese was rich and creamy, good flavor and hearty dish. Only downside was the pasta for me. Not sure if it’s the quality of it or if because it sat for quite a long time. Our meal took a very long time to come out and my dish was barely luke warm, and that was the pasta on the bottom of the bowl.
Decided to overlook that misstep because overall Ava’s is a great neighborhood spot that should be on your list when in the area.
