The inn’s location is ideal: walkable to both the beach and the heart of Bethany Beach, with outstanding dining options like Sedona just minutes away. For those willing to explore a bit farther, Rehoboth Beach and Lewes offer even more culinary gems.

The staff at Addy Sea are incredibly attentive, striking the perfect balance between warm hospitality and thoughtful service. You don’t need to pack beach accessories—chairs, umbrellas, and everything you need for a perfect day by the ocean are provided. And when evening rolls around, the porch becomes the perfect spot for cocktails, with all the glassware you could want already waiting.

We visited just after Labor Day, and it was magical. The ocean was still warm, the weather perfect for beach days, and best of all—no crowds. Shops and restaurants were still open, making it a peaceful yet vibrant time to enjoy the area.

The inn itself is steeped in history, and the breakfast and afternoon tea desserts are truly to die for. Addy Sea isn’t just a place to stay—it’s a place to savor. Highly recommend and looking forward to our next visit.

I could write a book about how much I love the Addy Sea! We had our wedding here in October 2025, and it was literally a dream weekend from start to finish. Addy Sea is a unique wedding venue and perfect for anyone looking for a more intimate feel, but with all the amenities of any other traditional venue. First of all, the location is AMAZING. Addy Sea is right in the heart of Bethany Beach, with its own private beach access, and adjacent to a very convenient public parking lot. Being from Pittsburgh, PA, we called our wedding a 'do-able destination' wedding, and we had about 100 friends and family travel in for the weekend. Addy Sea is first and foremost a bed and breakfast, so in order to host a wedding on the property, you will need to book our all the rooms. This made for the perfect weekend-long experience with our closest friends and family all in one place. The service was amazing and I cannot say enough great things about the staff!! Both throughout the weekend staffing the bed and breakfast, and during the wedding itself, they were all helpful, kind, professional, and The rooms are beautiful and each uniquely decorated. The guest house was the perfect place for our bridal party to get ready and spend time together throughout the weekend, and Addy Sea even brought full service hot breakfast to us while we got our hair and makeup done! The views are beyond stunning. The chef was amazing and they have SO many options to customize your menu. The lawn overlooking the beach is a magical place to get married. I was initially a little bit worried that it was going to feel cramped, as we were on the higher end of the wedding size that the venue can accommodate, but it felt perfect! I cannot recommend their event planner, Katie Duke, enough. She basically ran the entire weekend and made sure every single aspect went smoothly. If you are thinking about getting married in coastal Delaware, PLEASE visit Addy Sea and you will be blown away.

From the deepest core of my family's hearts, I must admit that absolutely every member of the crew goes above and beyond to accommodate all of our needs and wants. While I don't remember everyone's names, I never leave without a huge smile on my face. My deepest regret is that I did not tip the staff enough for all the extra effort they put in just to ensure my parents have the most comfortable vacation they could ask for. My parents stayed in the guest house, and I stayed in the main house. The staff was kind enough to let me use the Great Room of the Guest House in order to relax alongside my parents, and crew checked on me regularly to make sure I had everything I needed. We love and respect all of you more than you could ever know. Thank you so much for making The Addy Sea our favorite place in the world!
