302 The Local

My first visit was 10/23 on bingo night. Great concept especially for us locals. Sadly, there was so much confusion from the very beginning. To start with nobody knew exactly what the specials were, so I had to wait for a phone call back. (No problem) then when we got there I guess we were supposed to receive a wine list with pricing. Our original waiter said the bottle would be $23. He appeared irritated and a little grumpy in the beginning of our experience when I had menu questions. He was attentive and did warm up towards the end, especially when we handed him a $10 before he left. Jessica then stepped in and seemed very out of it. When our bill was brought, I explained that was not the price for the bottle we were given. She said we were the second table this happened to and that our previous waiter didn’t know what he was talking about. I went up to someone else and mentioned our issue since she was of no help and kept insisting there was nothing she could do. Finally a manager came out to correct our bill. Jessica brought the bill back and sat it on the table. There was no apology from her or the manager for the confusion. I even messaged the owner with no response. I work in customer service, and understand how important it is to treat someone. I understand people are tired, have off days and mistakes are made, but an APOLOGY goes a long ways! The crab dip and burger were phenomenal! If it weren’t for all the confusion and lack of service it would have been easily 5 stars. I only give credit to where credit is earned. Such a shame because we love bingo and would have easily become regulars.

Overall excellent dining experience. We were seated promptly and provided a complimentary cocktail for our anniversary. Everything we ordered was delicious like the pork belly, deviled eggs, and funnel fries. Very friendly atmosphere with love music, it was Frank Sinatra night. We will absolutely come back, many times.

Absolutely amazing food, service, and atmosphere. We wound up here after another restaurant had too long of a wait. Left a message here about accommodating our large party of 10 at the last minute and was given a return call within MINUTES, by a pleasant woman telling us to "come on down." When we arrived, she was holding the door open and saying, "Welcome, welcome." The ambiance was beautiful with an upscale vintage feel and lovely lighting. An older gentleman was walking around playing the violine. He was talented and SO fun. Every single dish from the starters to the desert was phenomenal. Cocktails were 5 stars as well! We have a huge family dinner once a year , and this turned out to be one of the best places we've ever been. This local restaurant is doing EVERYTHING right.
